Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv was so much fun! It was fun swimming in the Mediterranean Sea. I really wanted to go sailing but once i finally walked to the place to go sailing they weren't going today because there was not enough wind. But i am going back soon so i will for sure sail on it. It reminded me a lot of Florida. Everyone that we came in contact with were Jewish. It was fun to use the little Hebrew i knew. We were there all day and it was really pretty to watch the sunset.
After swimming in the Mediterranean Sea.
Found a place for lunch that was amazing! Hummus and pita. Pretty sure i was smiling the whole time!!
Shwarmas for dinner!

The Garden Tomb

After church all of the students went to the Garden Tomb. It was a really cool experience. After we had all been in the tomb we sang songs for 1/2 hr. It was nice to just sit down and reflect on what had happened there.
Door inside the tomb.

Dome of the Rock

Just chillin at the Dome of the Rock. I would love to see it when the outside of this is full of people praying. Its beautiful.
Maddie, Chrissy, Me and Grace. - aka the crew! ha These girls are awesome! Outside the Dome of the Rock
Apparently we didn't dress up enough.

Zedekiahs cave

Just teaching a friend about what happened in this cave. ha
wow, i have long legs.

Around Jerusalem

Seven Arches overlook. right below is a large Jewish cemetery with the oldest tombs at the bottom. The gate of the old city is right behind us and of course the Dome of the Rock. With my rommie and Daniel.

Orthodox Jews enjoying the overlook. Probably really honoring the dead in the cemetery. Some of them you can tell they have forelocks.

Augusta Victoria Tower. it is on top of Mt. of Olives. I started running up the bell tower but halfway up realized it was pretty far up so i had to walk. i was panting a little when i got up. it doesn't really look too high here but it was high.

looking west over Jerusalem! The Jerusalem Center I'm staying at is on the bottom right corner.

Mt of Saint Elijah. This hill separates Jerusalem from Bethlehem. Bethlehem is left of this picture.
Sheep herder that came on the hill where we were. The best part was watching him herd his sheep while on his cell phone. ha
